The Blog is happy that Dolly Parton finally had a hurricane named after her – it was long overdue. Unless the hurricane was named after Dolly the cloned sheep.
I am a Sri Lankan attorney recently migrated to Denver. My life path began in Colombo, touching Pittsburgh, Maryland, New York City, and Virginia. I have been educated by my mother, Moon/Wheaton schools, JHU, Columbia Law, HLG, Swidler Telecom, and a Fortune 500 company. And, oh yes, life and God. My greatest accomplishment - a precocious seven year old son - wise beyond his years; possessed of a heart of gold. May he always maintain his rare mix of confidence and frailty; wisdom and innocence. I am the product of the courageousness and caring of my mother, the boundless love of my sisters, the canyonesque hearts of my brothers-in-law, the vitality and promise of my nieces and nephews, an incomparably talented extended family, and a priceless collection of friends. Separated for two years; finding an unanticipated need to redefine myself at the age of 41. I grapple with the unbearable sadness of being but yet am filled with the boundless hope and romanticism of my youth. I have unlimited faith in my loving and compassionate God, guiding me on my path, asking me to carry a cross as he did. I disappoint and betray him every day, but he never abandons me.
