Have you noticed a certain calm in the air; a sense of the world reaching a rare equilibrium? It is true. There has been an extremely rare confluence of events the significance of which remains uncertain. In the entertainment realm, the triumvirate of Britney, Lindsay and Paris all seem to be at peace – much to the chagrin of Dr. Phil. Brit has discovered God, LiLo has found true love, and Paris is searching for a new BFF. Even Xtina is dazzling these days a far cry from her “Dirty” days. In sports, three Chicago teams are in first place at the same time? And in Boston, the Evil Empire now seems merely ordinary. In politics, the GOP is back at what they do best – hypocrisy and negativity while the Dems serve as a hopeful beacon. In reality tv, Flavor Flav and New York are thankfully still single and Survivor is going green. In tv, 90210 is back.
So, enjoy this rare oasis, one and all, and hope it is not as fleeting as Palin’s experience.
